Farmers Market to begin October 10th, 2009

Green Cove Springs Farmers Market to begin October 10th, 2009.  The City of Green Cove Springs will enjoy its first ever farmers market on the morning of Saturday, October 10, 2009 at 1050 N. Orange Avenue, across from the Clay County Court House on Highway 17, beginning at 8:00 a.m. To date, The Green Cove Springs Farmers Market has lined up vendors to sell a variety of locally grown and produced items including produce, plants, honeys, jellies, spa demonstrations and handmade arts and crafts, with many additional vendors anticipated. This will be a great place for families to come together for a fun event with food and entertainment. People will be able to purchase everything from their week’s produce, ready to eat food and home-made products from local artisans. Market Managers and owners of Organic Life Productions, Krysta Brown and Melissa Revels are dedicated to fulfilling a community need. “The community is the reason we are doing this” says Melissa. Krysta adds “We hope to provide a place that encourages a spirit of creativity, unity tradition and education for ourselves and our children”. The City of Green Cove Springs will host weekly farmers markets year round. Spaces are still available for additional vendors.
